Community Development Projects

The Ijebu-Jesa Unions Conference North America (IJUCNA) has donated the sum of $20,000.00 (N10million) towards the construction of the new Elegboro palace and other development projects in the town. The donation was made recently at the fundraising event held in Ijebu-Jesa by Ijebu-Jesa Unions Conference; and attended by indigenes of the town and dignitaries from across Nigeria.

In a goodwill message at the event, the President of IJUCNA, Bobagunwa Kenny Olatunji disclosed that the donation is part of the efforts of IJUCNA to lead the physical, social and economic development activities in Ijebu Jesa.

He further said, IJUC North America also has its own fundraising event coming up on Sunday, September 26, 2021, to raise $100,000.00 for development projects it had planned to execute to create a better life for rural dwellers.

Project #1: WATER PROJECT

As part of its efforts to improve the community, IJUC North America ( IJUCNA) donated two solar powered water boreholes in Araromi-Odo Ojaand Ogbon Ogbeje in Ijebu Jesa. The water boreholes were commissioned on October 1, 2022,by HRM (Engr) Moses Olufemi Agunsoye, the Elegboro of Egboroland. The beneficiaries were full of gratitude and showers encomiums on members of IJUCNA for this laudable project.

Maintenance has been a concern for many community projects. Most projects are not maintained on time and are abandoned. To ensure its sustainability, IJUC North America has partnered with the communities where the project is located to take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the water boreholes. In addition, a representative of IJUC North America checks on projects to ensure It is functional for the beneficiaries

Project 2: Palace Project
On July 31, 2022; the community broke ground for a new building (palace) to serve as residence for the paramount ruler. IJUC North America pledged the sum of $20,000.00 to assist on the palace project. Presently, the Association is ranked the highest donor for this project. IJUC North America has redeemed all its funds pledged for the palace projects. See pictures of the palace project below:

Project #3: FINDO MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING PROJECT

On July 8 2023, the ancient town of Ijebu Jesa played host to many distinguished dignitaries from far andnear; as the paramount ruler of the town, HRM Oba Moses Olufemi Agunsoye, II, the Elegboro ofEgboroland, Ijebu Jesa, conferred a chieftaincy title on an Atlanta-USbased real estate mogul, Funmi Abiodun Findo; who was installed as Otunba of Atunluse of Egboroland in Ijebu Jesa. The newly installed Otunba is a philanthropist who enjoy giving back to the community under the auspices of Findocare Foundation. Otunba Abiodun Findo is a friend of the community and an active supporter and participant of IJUC North America Chapter. His contributions included the following: In December of 2022, Findocare donated a considerable amount of money as palliatives for members of the community; to alleviate economic hardship. On July 7, 2023,Otunba Abiodun Findo laid the foundation for a Findo Multi-Purpose Building; to serve as administrative offices for new government projects and establishments in the community
